Charlie Sheen priming for a run at president?

(HMG Celebrity News) – Charlie Sheen couldn’t win custody back of his kids based on the strength of his character versus his ex who is a habitual drug addict, but he’s considering running for president.  Only in America.  Yesterday as you probably know Charlie spent his day in LA trying to gain fully custody of his young twin boys away from their mother Brooke Mueller who is back in rehab for the umpth-teen time.  Despite Brooke being a complete wreck the judge took one look at the alternative namely Charlie and his violent past and his admission to drugs and said I don’t think so and left the custody arrangements as they are.  But while judges can be critical of those character flaws there are still thousands of dumb-dumbs out there that think Charlie is the bomb, despite the fact the guy is off his rocker. On his Torpedo tour stop in D.C. last night, according to Politico’s Patrick Gavin via USA, Charlie cited a Huffington Post presidential poll that “had me annihilating that lunatic from Alaska,” said Sheen, referring to former Gov. Sarah Palin.  And Charlie started to sound like a candidate when he took a swipe at President Barack Obama’s citizenship saying:

Other polls had me beating our president.”

“Is that the craziest (expletive) idea ever?” Sheen asked the crowd, which was described by Politico as friendly. “For starters, I was (expletive) born here, how about that? And I got proof! Nothing photoshopped about my birth certificate.”

Washington Times reporter Kara Rowland, who was tweeting from the “50-60 percent full” show, said that when Charlie was asked who he’d pick for a vice presidential running mate, he said, “Nic Cage.”  And why not, according to Charlie, Nicolas once helped him smuggle cocaine onto an airplane and Cage is also responsible for coming up with the term “goddess,” which Charlie now calls the porn stars that he lives with.

According to TMZ, the D.C. audience largely emptied out of the venue before the show ended.
