(HMG Celebrity News) – Perhaps reliving his Academy Award winning role in “Leaving Las Vegas,” Nicolas Cage was arrested in New Orleans over the weekend for domestic abuse, disturbing the peace and public drunkenness and it was all captured on film.  The “National Treasure” star, was arrested Saturday in New Orleans’ French Quarter after he got drunk Friday night and argued in the street with his wife Alice Kim over whether a house they were standing in front of was theirs.  Cage allegedly drunkenly stumbled into a tattoo parlor with a liquor bottle in hand demanding to get a tattoo, which was captured on video.  Nic eventually asked employees to call the cops and when they asked why, he said he didn’t remember where he lived. A taxi driver also called the cops when he saw Cage arguing with his wife, even grabbing her at one point by the arm and pulled her to what he believed was the right address according to TMZ.  He then began hitting parked cars. When police told him and his wife to go home, Cage taunted the cops to arrest him.  Cage a frequent visitor to New Orleans, where he has owned property was booked on charges of domestic-abuse battery, disturbing the peace,  and public drunkenness.   He was released on $11,000 bond Saturday and was bailed out by Duane “Dog the Bounty Hunter” Chapman.   It’s not like this is an isolated incident and friends are concerned.  Cage recently was observed (though not charged) during an apparently intoxicated verbal brawl with patrons in a New Orleans bar during Mardi Gras in March. He similarly got nasty with restaurant patrons in December in Romania, while there filming “Ghost Rider 2.”  “Nic has been under so much pressure lately, due to a variety of issues — including his major financial problems,”  a longtime Cage insider told the Chicago Sun-Times on Sunday. “But many of us are worried that his drinking again is a big problem for him and those around him,” indicating he expects Cage to soon check himself into a facility “to get back on track.”
