Charlie Sheen’s ex, Brooke Mueller broke, visits pawn shop

[HMG Celebrity News] – If you had a bad day yesterday spare a thought for Brooke Mueller – While soon-to-be-ex husband Charlie Sheen was wowing audiences in Canada Brooke was in a pawn shop trying to score extra cash. She also tried to score pee.

And she failed both times.

As part of their custody agreement Brooke must take random drug tests. If she fails a test she loses the twins, Bob and Max. A test was due yesterday and there are reports of frantic calls to her girlfriends to get ‘clean’ pee.

“A refusal is considered a dirty test under terms of the custody agreement,” a legal source close to the case tells Radar. “It’d be up to the judge to determine what action would be taken, but Charlie will ask for immediate action if Brooke fails the test or refuses.”

But borrowing another girl’s juice is pointless – Brooke is watched during the test;

“When either Charlie or Brooke provide samples, an independent witness watches,” says another snitch. “This is someone the testing facility designates. Brooke doesn’t know who they are.”

Friends were apparently trying to reach 33-year old Mueller all day, but no luck. She normally returns calls the same day but that stopped this week. And they say that’s often a sign she’s using again.

“Brooke seems depressed,” one friend said. “We’re worried for her safety.”

It gets worse – Later the same day she was caught on camera at a pawn shop in Inglewood trying to sell an expensive watch and a stereo for some cash. The security footage shows her nervously pacing around while staff examine the items, but they refused to do the deal because she had no valid ID.

As if all that weren’t enough, friends say Mueller is also desperate to be famous, but most of her role in Paris Hilton’s new reality show has been cut and she was dropped from today’s preview of the series to industry insiders. So that dream basically looks dead.

Another friend confirms that Mueller – who got $750,000 as an initial divorce settlement, plus a free home, plus $55,000 a month in child support…is now complaining of money troubles.
