(HMG Celebrity News) – Here we have the trailer for Hesher a 2010 dark drama-comedy film first screened at the Sundance Film Festival in January.  Directed and written by Spencer Susser the movie stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt in the titular role as a sort of anti-hero, along with Natalie Portman, and Rainn Wilson. Per Wikipedia, T.J. played by young Devin Brochu, is struggling badly as his dad sinks into depression (Rainn Wilson) and they are forced to live with T.J.’s elderly grandmother (Piper Laurie). Somehow bad boy Hesher (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) assumes the role as both mentor and tormentor for the troubled boy as he moves into Grandma’s home uninvited, leading T.J into troubles but also changing him for the better? A young grocery clerk named Nicole (Natalie Portman) steps in to protect T.J., and becomes the object of his fantasies. Gordon-Levitt, spoke online of his love for Hesher saying, “I loved making this movie, and I love how it turned out. It’s hilarious, but it’s not just funny, it’s smart, it’s sad, it’s hopeful, it’s heartfelt, and it f@ckin’ rocks . . . And, I’m humbled to say, METALLICA themselves liked it so much they gave us their music, they never give their stuff to movies!”
“Hesher” arrives in theatres on May 13.
