Clean Sweep? Matt Lauer perhaps following Meredith Vieira out “Today” show door

(HMG Celebrity News) – The Today Show appears to be heading for a complete overhaul. With reports that Meredith Vieira will soon leave the show, ET says that Matt Lauer will also be leaving. According to their source, Lauer has already notified his bosses that he will move on when his contract expires December 31, 2012. NBC chose not to confirm or deny the reports, saying only that Lauer has a “long-term contract with NBC.”  The speculation follows the news that Katie Couric is expected to leave the “CBS Evening News” and launch her own talk show with Jeff Zucker.  Could Matt Lauer join his two former Today Show co-workers on the the new talk show?
