Lindsay Lohan may audition for Superman role
[HMG Celebrity News] – While Amy Adams has now signed to play Lois Lane in the upcoming $175-million Superman reboot rumors are swirling that Lindsay Lohan could also be up for a role.
The 24-year old had her sights set on the plum female lead but is apparently happy the film’s producers are open to the idea of casting her in a minor part as a villain.
“Lindsay plans to meet the producers and read with an actor who’s up for the role of Lex Luther,” a source told Radar.
And she’s clearly been telling friends all about her unfounded dreams of returning to film;
“Lindsay said she’d be ecstatic to be part of the movie – it’s a dream of hers,” says Nathan Folks, a close friend of the former star.
But there’s one tiny snag – Jail. The movie is booked to start shooting in Vancouver in late August – the same time Lohan could be in prison for the alleged jewelry heist.
Should she somehow manage to still be outdoors the producers want her to play a villain who conspires with Superman’s arch rival, Lex Luther. Freshman actor Adam Harris is up for that role and would read with Lohan if she gets the audition.
To land the role of Lois, Amy Adams beat out Natalie Portman, Anne Hathaway, Kristen Stewart, Kristen Bell, Mila Kunis and Jessica Biel, among others. And that’s impressive. 27-year old British actor Henry Cavill [The Tudors] will be donning the cape and Kevin Costner and Diane Lane are on-board as his parents.
One word of advice – the film is due directed by Zack Snyder, the king of slow-motion. So expect all the flying scenes to resemble a brisk jog.
What do you think, guys – Is Lindsey a good fit for the movie or would you cast someone else? If so, who’s your choice? Let’s make a list…

If it’s a role like Mercy Graves (well-known to comic book fans), then she has to make sacrifices (no more getting into trouble and going crazy like she’s still in college on Spring Break). She’ll have to work out a lot to get toned – something like Cassidy Freeman in Smallville who played a similar character.
