Keanu Reeves Says Third ‘Bill And Ted 3′ Screenplay Drafted

(HMG Celebrity News) – A few months back there seemed to be a collective groan when we mentioned a third Bill & Ted movie was apparently in the works. Keanu Reeves told MTV he would be open to the idea, while Alex Winter, a.k.a. “Bill,” confirmed that a screenplay by Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon has long been in the works. Winter wasn’t able to divulge much about what “Bill & Ted will focus on, though he emphasized that the movie won’t be “cynical.” “It’s a straight up, what’s the funniest and most surprising take on where Bill and Ted would be right now if we stopped back in on them?”  Fast forward and now Keanu has confirmed to MTV that a draft of a screenplay is nearly finished.

“When we last got together, part of it was that Bill and Ted were supposed to have written the song that saved the world, and it hasn’t happened,” he told the network’s movie blog. “So they’ve now become kind of possessed by trying to do that. Then there’s an element of time and they have to go back.”
