Courteney Cox dating ‘Cougar Town’ co-star Josh Hopkins?

[HMG Celebrity News] – When Courteney Cox split from David Arquette last October rumors suggested she was close to ‘Cougar Town’ co-star Brian Van Holt. Well, that’s apparently over. Now we’re told she’s keen on another cast member — Josh Hopkins.

Courteney, 46, and 40-year old Josh were recently spied braving the surf in St. Barts – 8 square miles of snow-white beaches and towering palm trees set in the crystal-clear waters of the Caribbean. But of course their reps are denying any romantic connection, insisting the two are merely ‘friends.’

In the past Josh has dated Cox’s close friend and former co-star Jennifer Aniston, but his dad, Larry Hopkins –- a seven-term US Congressman for Kentucky – really likes his son’s latest choice;

“I would approve of it. They’re both very good looking people,” he told Radar.

Larry’s unsure whether the two are really dating but says Josh is full of praise for his new ‘friend;’

“I know he likes her and is very fond of her,” he says. “If he approves of her, then I approve of her.”

Courteney also took her six-year old daughter, Coco on the trip. Josh has never been married and has no kids so far but he apparently gets on well with the preteen crowd;

“I know he’s good with children and gets along with them very well,” Larry confirms. “He’s really good with all his younger relatives.”

So that’s how it stands – Brian’s ancient history and Josh is the new man of the hour. Or is he? It sounds like the pair are a quite serious item but what do you think?….
