Radio Host DJ Megatron Fatally Shot In NYC

(HMG Celebrity News) – Radio and TV personality DJ Megatron, was shot to death early Sunday, his manager and police said.  According to his manager Regg Rocc, Megatron was shot in the chest and killed while heading to a store near his home in Staten Island at around 2 a.m. on Sunday. No arrests have been made in the shooting.  the 32-year-old deejay, born Corey McGriff, worked at a number of hip-hop and R&B stations, starting in New York (98.7 Kiss FM and Hot 97) and Boston (WBOT Hot 97.7). He moved on to Philadelphia, where he spent 2.5 years at 103.9 FM the Beat in the early 2000s before the station moved down the dial to 100.3. On the brink of superstardom,  the effusive Megatron a father of three, returned to New York and worked on BET’s “106 & Park” music countdown series, mainly in a role interacting with its live audience.  “Rest In Peace DJ Megatron!
