Joseph Gordon-Levitt Cast As Villian In ‘Batman: The Dark Knight Rises’

(HMG Celebrity News) – It’s turning out to be a star-studded cast for Christopher Nolan’s third Batman film, “The Dark Knight Rises.”  According to Variety, opposing new Oscar winner Christian Bale back as Batman, will be “Inception” and “500 Days of Summer” star Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who has officially signed on to the cast to play Alberto Falcone, the son of mob boss and major “Batman Begins” villain Carmine Falcone, played in that film by Tom Wilkinson.  Alberto Falcone, in the DC Universe known as The Holiday Killer, brings Nolan’s superhero trilogy full-circle and pits another “realistic” villain to face the Caped Crusader.  Anne Hathaway is already signed on to play Selena Kyle/Catwoman and Gordon-Levitt’s “Inception” cast mate Tom Hardy will play powerhouse Bane, another villain.  Variety also reports that indie sensation Juno Temple is being eyed for a supporting role as a street-smart Gotham girl.
