Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl disses Glee boss, Ryan Murphy

[HMG Celebrity News] – From a low-key debut in May of ’09, Fox’s musical drama ‘Glee’ has gained over 26-million regular addicts or ‘Gleeks.’ But not everyone’s an admirer – the Kings of Leon and Slash from Guns ‘n’ Roses have made unflattering comments, and the Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl has now joined the resistance.

The people who make ‘Glee’ wanted to use the Foo’s 2002 hit ‘Times Like These’ on the show, but Dave was rather less than flattered.

“It’s every band’s right, you shouldn’t have to do f—ing Glee,” he told THR. “Then the guy who created Glee is so offended we’re not begging to be on his show?? F— that guy for thinking everybody should want to do Glee.”

So, you may ask, has Dave ever even seen the production he so concisely detests?

“I watched 10-minutes. It’s not my thing,” he admits. But his main hang-up is the show’s boss, Ryan Murphy;

“What a f—ing jerk,” Dave muses. “He wanted to use Guns ‘n’ Roses and Slash says ‘I hate f’ing musicals – It’s worse than Grease!’ Then Ryan’s like, ‘Well, of course he’d say that, he’s a washed up ol’ rock star.’

But there’s more; The Kings of Leon were also invited to add some songs to a show and said no….Very plainly.

“Then the Kings say, ‘No, we don’t want to be on your show.’ And Ryan’s like, ‘Snotty little assholes!” Dave recalls. “But it’s just like, Dude, maybe not everyone loves Glee – Me included.”

I think it’s safe to assume Dave’s not an admirer. If you watch are you on his side or Ryan’s? With 26-million addicts they’re doing something right, but give us your views and let’s see who’s in the majority…
