Tiger Woods resurfaces on GMA, gets ribbed by Jimmy Fallon
[HMG Celebrity News] – After his entire life endured one of the longest, most public collapses in celebrity history Tiger Woods is starting to rebuild. He was on ABC’s Good Morning America today and says his main focus now is his children.
“It’s work, there’s no doubt,” the 35-year old golf legend told Robin Roberts.. “It’s tough, but it’s enjoyable. That’s the work I love.”
With ex-wife Ellen Nordegren now a memory Tiger spends his days with his daughter Sam, aged 3, and two-year old Charlie. And life sounds pretty good;
“Family’s first,” he opined. “My mom and dad were always there, and that’s what I have with my kids now. I just love being with them and seeing what they’re capable of doing. We have a great time together.”
Woods went on to explain that while Sam spends most of her time dancing, creating and re-arranging the furniture, Charlie takes after his dad;
“The boy only wants to play sports,” said his proud father. “Give him a stick and a ball and he’s happy.”
In what may be the beginning of a publicity tour to rescue his image, Woods also guested on Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday, and Jimmy was keen to catch up;
“It’s been a year and a half since you’ve been on the show,” asked the host. “What you been up to?”
The audience laughed as Tiger calmly replied, “Nothin’, nothin’.”
Jimmy acknowledged the last 18-months must have been “painful and awful,” but also thanked Tiger for helping his ratings;
“From a comedian’s standpoint, and my monologue writers, thank you,” he said.
As you’ll see in the video, the two then go on to discuss Tiger’s new home, then Woods pitches his new video game; ‘Tiger Woods’ PGA Tour 12.’ But Jim and fellow guest Amy Poehler make that a tough sell.
So the divorce is now final, his career is in limbo and the torrent of girlfriends has finally stopped. Do you think Tiger can now regain the respect of his fans and the public, or should he retire? Let’s hear your views…
