Courtney Love proposed snorting Kurt Cobain’s ashes, claims new book

[HMG Celebrity News] – It’s been rumored that Courtney Love has experienced the ingestion of almost every chemical substance of which science is aware. But a new book claims she once proposed a unique blend: Cocaine and Kurt Cobain’s ashes.

Courtney met Kurt in Portland, Oregon way back in 1989. They married in Hawaii in 1992 and had one daughter, Frances. But on April 5th 1994 Kurt committed suicide at his Lake Washington home. He was just 27-years old.

Courtney is well known for her unfailing love of her late husband, but in his new book ‘Everyone Loves You When You Are Dead,’ author Neil Strauss recounts an interview in which she suggested ingesting Kurt’s ashes.

“She was serious when she made the suggestion,” he told Radar. “She actually said she would offer his ashes to me first to snort, then said she would like them. But the idea was nixed as I don’t do coke.”

Neil and Courtney talked for hours at her home in Los Angeles, and as the clock approached midnight Love suddenly jumped off the couch;

“She walks to a dresser, pulls open a drawer, and removes a square-shaped tin,” says the book. “She removes the lid, revealing a plastic bag full of white ash. A faint smell of jasmine emanates from the tin.

Love: “Say hi to Kurt. Too bad you don’t do coke. Otherwise I’d suggest taking a metal straw to it.”

Strauss: “Yeah, I don’t think that would be the right thing to do.”

Love: “I’d like to though.”

And if the vaguest outline of that concept doesn’t make your skin crawl, you’re not human.

Released yesterday, the UK version of the book lists the whole conversation, plus Strauss’ meetings with folks like Madonna, Lady Gaga, Snoop Dogg, Ozzy Obourne, Tom Cruise, Zac Efron, Britney Spears and the purple one – Prince.

What do you think – Did Courtney really suggest snorting Kurt or is this artistic license? If you’re a fan of the late legend let’s hear your views on this…
