Skateboard guru, Tony Hawk dumps 3rd wife for friend’s spouse?

[HMG Celebrity News] – If you’ve owned a skateboard or played video games you’ll love this story – Reports are emerging that skateboarding guru Tony Hawk has just dumped his wife and is now getting friendly with the wife of his best friend.

The 42-year old San Diego native married wife number three, Lhotse Merriam [seen here] back in 2006 when she worked as his publicist. But in December Lhotse found a plane ticket to San Francisco made out to the wife of Tony’s business partner, and she knew something was wrong.

She was right. Tony filed for divorce on February 11th and the former couple issued a statement;

“We remain deeply committed and loving parents to our daughter,” it reads. “And out of respect for that responsibility we ask that people honor our family’s privacy during this time of transition.”

The daughter, Kadence Clover, was born June 30, 2008. Tony also has three sons from the other two wives. His new partner, Cathy Goodman was married to Tony’s business partner, Matt, for almost twenty years and they have two children – but they separated once the news broke.

Tony is widely seen as the man who made skateboarding cool and the video games and merchandise tie-ins have made him a multimillionaire. He and Matt Goodman had been friends since childhood and Matt was the groomsman at all of his weddings. Today, Matt’s wife is in New York with Tony.

As you’d expect, Tony’s reps are not too keen on discussing the subject;

“We do not comment on the personal lives of our clients,” was the reply Page Six got to their recent inquiry.

So there we have it, guys – A skateboard made him famous and rich, and he’s now put the skids under his best friend’s entire life. What’s your reaction to this?…
