[HMG Celebrity News] – Reality television has one major flaw – it’s too far from reality. And fans of ‘The Bachelor’ learned that last night after Brad Womack and Emily Maynard who found love on the show announced they’ve already split up.

Brad told viewers he was ready for marriage, and his proposal to Emily was like a line from a Harlequin romance;.

“You’re so much more to me than a leap of faith,” he told Emily. “You’re the one. You’re my once in a lifetime. I’m asking you to give me your forever.”

…I’ll give you a moment for your breakfast to settle.

So Brad was all set for marriage. The problem, according to sources inside the show, was Emily;

“Emily is so insecure, she just isn’t cut out for all the attention,” an insider tells PopEater. “The six weeks of shooting was easy, away from prying eyes and photographers. But since they returned to their normal lives things have been a disaster.”

It seems Emily even hated the idea of Brad flirting with her fellow contestants;

“Emily is not able to forgive him for what she considers cheating,” a producer explained. “It’s always hard sending the couple back into reality, but no one in the history of the show had as hard a time adjusting as Emily.”

Emily later told the show’s bosses Brad’s temper away from the cameras took her by surprise. But those in charge at ABC say Brad had really been trying to make it work out.

A mom to 5-year-old daughter, Ricki, Emily beat fellow contestant Chantal O’Brien to be Brad’s choice. But Brad has since told the bosses it’s over for good, and even the staff are upset.

“We’d love to say they’re going to make it, but they don’t,” says one source. “Once we taped the ‘After the Rose,’ it was clear to everyone this was not going to work.”

If you saw the show, what’s your view on this? Is Emily really the problem, or was it Brad? Give us your reviews…
