Christina Aguilera numbing herself on food and booze?

[HMG Celebrity News] – With a career in limbo, a marriage in the dumpster, a growing waistline and a recent arrest most people would pause and take stock of their lives. Not Christina Aguilera. Friends say the singer is now out of control.  Star Magazine’s sources say that Xtina has added 40 pounds by binging on snack foods and alcohol:

“Christina’s lost her confidence since she split from Jordan,” one source tells Star. “She gets terribly sad, and that’s when all the memories come back and she ends up numbing herself with booze and food.”

The five-year marriage to Jordan Bratman imploded when Christina filed for divorce on October 14 of last year. Their split will become final on April 15.

On March 1st she and her new love, Matthew Rutler were arrested in West Hollywood on suspicion of DUI and public intoxication. The Police report said Christina was “not capable of taking care of herself. She didn’t really understand where she was, she didn’t even know where she lived.”

So life has been tough. And friends say Matthew is making it worse – they call him ‘an enabler.’

“Everyone’s worried sick,” says one concerned crony. “She needs to get help before something even more serious happens.”

But that message is not getting through – Just three days after her arrest, Christina and Matt were back at the same West Hollywood eatery – Osteria Mozza on Melrose Avenue. And dinner was accompanied by two bottles of wine.

“She acted as if the arrest never happened,” a staff member tells Us Magazine. “When their server offered them dessert, they asked for more wine.”

When it came time to leave the reviews were not good; “She seemed drunk,” one waiter observes.

This time the pair hired a limo, but her friends are still concerned;

“She should see the arrest as a wake-up call, but she doesn’t,” says one. “She’s falling-down drunk nearly every night, but she doesn’t think things are that bad.”

I’d say she’s mistaken. She needs to put the bottles [and Matt] on the curb and get into rehab. How about you?…
