Charlie Sheen low on cash, sources claim

[HMG Celebrity News] – Charlie Sheen lost his job with ‘Two and a Half Men’ by ranting about the show and its leaders. Now unemployed he’s ranting that the result of his last rants was unfair. But there’s a deeper reason for his unrest – the man is allegedly broke.

“Charlie’s earned an enormous amount of money with the show, but he’s also spent a fortune and now finds himself being cash poor,” an insider tells PopEater. “Every penny he has is tied up in property or business deals.”

According to the source, Chuck’s latest tirades are nothing more than a desperate quest to avoid relative poverty;

“That’s why he’s fighting so hard to get the $16-million he lost when CBS suspended production,” says the snitch.

When Charlie replaced Michael J. Fox on ‘Spin City’ in 2000, Fox had a clause in his contract that meant he got be paid even after he’d left. Chuck claims his contract with Warners has the same clause, so when the CBS bosses said they plan to bring ‘Men’ back in the Fall Charlie just loved the idea;

“Charlie wants the show to continue as long as he gets paid,” a friend tells the scribes. “He’d like nothing better than to earn money to stay at home while someone else does the work.”

And Warners have yet another problem to solve; Their deals with CBS and the syndicators require both Sheen and the show’s creator, Chuck Lorre to be involved in all future seasons.

“But Warners believe those deals could be renegotiated if the right cast came together,” says the snitch. “And one thing’s certain – the initial ratings would be huge.”

Now he’s supposedly staring at bankruptcy Charlie’s had another bright idea to bring in some coin – He’s working on deals to put ‘Winning,’ ‘Tiger Blood’ and a few of his other expressions on t-shirts to create a paycheck. His reps are also shopping a 1-on-1 interview – for $1-million.

After his recent, barely lucid pronouncements on Ustream it’s hard to imagine what Chuck has to say that would be worth even half that much. But if he got the interview would you watch? And do you want ‘Men’ to return without Sheen?
