Report says Mel Gibson will face domestic violence charges while Oksana Grigorieva will not be charged with extortion
[HMG Celebrity News] – After one of the longest and most deliberately public feuds in recent memory sources say Mel Gibson is about to be charged with domestic violence for allegedly assaulting former girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva. But she will not be charged with trying to extort him.
Insiders close to the case tell TMZ those in charge of the investigation at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office are about to charge Mel with ‘Misdemeanor Domestic Violence,’ not a felony as was expected. If found guilty Mel could spend up to six months in jail.
But despite significant evidence which proves Oksana demanded $15-million from Mel to keep the tapes which will now be used as evidence a secret she is not due to be charged with a crime. The Sheriff’s Department think there is enough evidence to prosecute her but the District Attorney doesn’t agree.
The DA got involved when Oksana contacted the Sheriff’s Department and accused Mel of assault. His attorney filed a declaration in family court admitting Mel slapped Oksana once because she was violently shaking their baby, Lucia and he couldn’t make her stop. But apparently the D.A wasn’t convinced.
And to make life worse, Oksana’s ex lover, Timothy Dalton is set to testify on her behalf.
The 64-year old former ‘James Bond’ actor who is the father of Oksana’s 14-year old son Alexander recently told the DA he saw bruising around her left eye at the time and is now willing to take the stand in her case.

Biden recently called violence against women, “the very worst abuse.” The very worst abuse is valuing one life less than another for having been born the wrong gender. Under domestic violence law, the wrong gender is men. Shelter and services are virtually non-existent for male victims of domestic violence. Options out of a bad relationship, that women have, are often not available to men.
