Lindsay Lohan refuses plea deal, Judge all set for trial
[HMG Celebrity News] – In the seemingly endless saga that is the Lindsay Lohan theft case the former actress is booked to appear before Judge Keith L. Schwartz later today, and insiders say the Judge is convinced Lohan should spend some time in a cell.
Judge Schwartz is due to meet the prosecution team and Lohan’s attorney Sean Holley in his chambers, and it will be his unenviable task to work out a plea deal that pleases both sides in the case. Lohan refuses to accept a deal that involves jail time and claims to be willing to stand trial to clear her name.
So this meeting could last a while.
At the meeting, state prosecutor Danette Meyers will present Holley with a formal plea bargain. The Judge has already made it clear to Lohan’s legal team any deal will require “significant jail time.” But his client still refuses to even contemplate such an offer.
Sources tell TMZ the Judge favors a deal that requires jail time for the probation violation, plus three years felony probation for the ‘Grand theft’ case.
But if LiLo gets in trouble for anything during the three years she’d go to state prison – No special treatment this time.
Reports say Holley has not seen the jewelry store’s surveillance video yet, but prosecutors will deliver a copy before the hearing begins.
In breaking news, Lohan left the court still refusing to accept any plea that means jail, and insisting she wants a trial.
“I didn’t steal,” she told an assistant.
If Lohan persists in refusing to accept a plea deal the Judge will just set a date for a preliminary hearing. So this story is far from over just yet.
But what’s your opinion – Should LiLo do jail or not? Sound off in the comments and let’s take a poll….

Good luck! Not a funny situation!
