Charlie Sheen still loved by fans, survey shows

[HMG Celebrity] – For most Hollywood stars, any mention of frequent drug use, borderline alcoholism and a fondness for porn stars would kill their career. But not Charlie Sheen. A recent poll proves Charlie’s fans love him more now than ever.

Now undergoing his third rehab in twelve months, following a 36-hour binge that would have left lesser mortals on a mortuary slab, the man some are calling ‘Good-time Charlie’ has never been more admired; A poll conducted by the Hollywood Reporter has some surprising results;

Of 700 Americans interviewed for the poll, 90-percent say they’re ‘avid’ fans and don’t care about the booze and the ladies as long as he’s still good on the show.

26-percent even view Chuck “much more” or “somewhat more” favorably after recent events.

The 45-year old actor is due back at work by the end of the month, according to his reps. And it  appears he’s still welcome – Less than 4-percent of those questioned want Chuck replaced, and 82-percent of women interviewed by the survey say they’ll still watch.

Half of the fans in the survey think Charlie should get clean first, then return to the show. But 56-percent think an upcoming episode should show his on-screen personae – Charlie Harper – facing the same problems.

One snag Mr. Harper won’t have to face is Charlie’s impending divorce.

The final divorce papers were filed yesterday in L.A. County Superior Court, and after the 6-month waiting period required by California law the pair will become officially single on May 2nd.

And Brooke gets a very sweet deal – The settlement gives her $757,698 in cash and $1-million for her share of the family home, which Charlie can keep. Radar says she also bags $55,000 a month in tax-free child support for their twins Bob and Max, who will be 2-years old on March 14th.

The former pair also share legal custody of the boys, but they will both live with their mom.
