Tom Cruise tangled in FBI probe over ‘slave labor’ bus

[HMG Celebrity News] – The bond between Tom Cruise and the Scientology church is well known, but the FBI is now reportedly investigating allegations of human trafficking regarding a luxury bus the Church recently gave him.

The bus, named ‘Silver Screen’ was presented to Tom while he was shooting ‘Mission: Impossible 3” in July of 2005. But emails have since emerged that suggest underpaid staffers put almost 9,000 hours into the trailer’s construction.

An internal email sent to Scientology boss Dave Miscavige also reveals Tom’s strange requests for the décor;

“He requested a space be figured out for slippers in the front of Silver Screen as he does not want any shoes on the carpet.” reads the email leaked by former Scientology manager Mark Rathbun. “This is figured out; there is a drawer right at the entrance which can be used for this.”

And there were more odd demands;

“He also stated that no-one will be allowed to enter Silver Screen other than his personal assistants,” reveals the email, which Radar says was written on July 27, 2005.

The FBI got involved after allegations were made of human trafficking and underpaid labor being used, but the Church has denied any staff were mistreated. They also denounced Mr. Rathbun as ‘An anti-Scientologist devoid of credibility.’

Other reports claim Tom also used the trailer to host a ‘Purification Rundown Program’, so his wife Katie Holmes could begin her entry into the Church.

And this wasn’t the first time the Church gave Tom a gift; Former Church member John Brosseau says he was told by Dave Miscavige to customize Cruise’s SUV, two motorcycles and even a building.

But Scientology spokesman Tom Davis has made the Church’s position quite clear;

“Whatever small economic benefit Mr. Cruise may have received pales in comparison to the benefits the Church has received from Mr. Cruise’s many years of volunteer efforts,” he has since told reporters.

Tom says the Church are ‘unaware’ of any investigation, but those claims still persist. So what do you guys think of this tale?…
