New York Jets’ Mark Sanchez allegedly in tryst with High Schooler
[HMG Celebrity News] – Mark Sanchez is one of the most popular Quarterbacks in New York Jets history, but a recent flirtation with a 17-year old High Schooler has made a few fans question his ethics.
On New Year’s Eve the 24-year old ball player allegedly visited Lavo, a Manhattan nightclub. There he supposedly met 17-year old Connecticut high school senior Eliza Kruger. The two began talking and exchanged cellphone numbers.
“You know I’m 17, right,” she told Sanchez, according to Deadspin.
Mark said they could still talk, but “I can’t see you until you’re 18.” To which Eliza says she swiftly replied;
“Actually, 17 is legal in New York.”
Time moved on, some texts were exchanged and a few days later the pair met for dinner at Nobu, an upscale restaurant on West 57th Street. And this is where things become friendly;
“We went back to his place in Jersey,” Eliza tells the reporters. “He lives on a golf course. There was a big storm,”
Asked by the mag if they’d ‘hooked up’ that night, Eliza responded simply with “Yeah.”
As proof, Eliza produced cellphone photos of a bedroom, showing two football helmets [one is the Jets] some family photos and a very disorganized bed.
“He’s a really nice guy,” Eliza expounded. “He’s one of the kindest people, and a genuine person.”
And the connection didn’t end there; Mark continued to text her asking for dates;
“He’d send me a text at 2am on a Wednesday asking if I was out that night,” she recalls. “But I’d say ‘I have school tomorrow.’”
Eliza says one text even arrived at 2am on January 24th – the night the Jets lost the AFC Championship Game. He also gave her tickets to the Jets-Bills season finale.
A spokesman for the Jets told reporters the team does not comment on players’ personal lives. And Eliza’s mother says her daughter is unwilling to discuss events any further;
“I don’t think she wants to talk,” Marie Kruger said. ”We’re really trying to shut this down.”
