Did Kurt Cobain write unused song for ‘Ren & Stimpy’ cartoon?

[HMG Celebrity News] – When Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain died prematurely in April of 1994 the world lost a singular talent. But recent reports suggest the loss to the cartoon world was equally great.

In 1991 the band released their iconic album ‘Nevermind.’ But it was soon after that, so sources now claim, that Kurt began writing songs for children’s TV shows. Among them was one track for ‘Ren & Stimpy’;

“One day this scraggly kid came into the offices where the series was made and said he wanted to write a song for Ren & Stimpy,” Billy West, who provides Stimpy’s voice tells the Sun. “They said, ‘Yeah, that’s great!’ But they threw it in the waste basket. And that was Kurt Cobain.”

There’s been no official confirmation on this story as yet, but those close to the late grunge star say he was a huge fan of cartoons and could have easily visited the studios in L.A. while on the road with Nirvana.

It makes a wonderful story, but whether it’s true we may may never know; Kurt’s lifeless body was found at his home at Lake Washington on April 8th, 1994. He’d been dead for three days. He was just 27-years old.

If you’re fan of the man or his music, what’s your view on this – Do you think the scraggly tune-smith was Kurt, or is this just another fable created by opportunists to grab money and the chance of some press?…
