Sophie Monk announces engagement to Playboy owner

[HMG Celebrity News] – As you’ll remember, last time the Australian singer / actress Sophie Monk made the headlines was back in July, when she found her rapidly ex-boyfriend Jason Diaz in bed with a lady. Well, the girl bounced back and she’s now engaged to the guy who owns Playboy.

The 31-year old broke the news on the breakfast show of Sydney radio station 2DayFM, where she’s filling in for another presenter, Jackie O, who’s on maternity leave.

“I got engaged, and I kept it quiet so no-one’s heard much about him. He’s a keeper,” she told listeners. “It feels right. I think you know when you know.’

The proposal from 51-year old Jimmy Eisbag came at Sophie’s favorite LA restaurant, which she didn’t name. And Jim, who is the Chairman of ‘America’s Licensing Holding Group’ which owns the Playboy brand and has ties to the ‘Elite’ model agency, gave her an engagement ring Sophie describes as ‘a chandelier’

“I’m marrying a male version of myself, which is dangerous but good,” she explained.

If this guy’s a ‘keeper’ that should make a nice change – Sophie was previously engaged to ‘Good Charlotte’s Benji Madden but they split in February 2008. Since then she’s been seen dating Ryan Seacrest and ‘Entourage’s Kevin Connelly, among several others.
