Jaime Pressly facing tax bills, mulling divorce
[HMG Celebrity News] – If you think the life of a celebrity is all red carpets and romance, ask Jaime Pressly. She got arrested for alleged DUI on January 5, her marriage is sinking, and the IRS wants $637,000 in back taxes.
On September 8th the IRS filed a lien against the 33-year old actress for $281,699 to cover income taxes for 2008. They then dropped another lien on her on December 6th for an extra $260,370 in overdue taxes.
Jaime also got a bill from her home state of California on June 21st for another $95,080 in unpaid State taxes.
It gets worse – On January 5th Jaime was driving through Santa Monica when police say she committed a traffic violation. She was promptly pulled over and a breathalyzer test proved her blood/alcohol content was more than twice the legal limit.
She’s now out on $15,000 bail.
And there’s more – In September 2009, Jaime married the prominent entertainment attorney Simran Singh. But after just 14-months Radar says the pair have now split and may be due for divorce;
“They’re done. It’s over,” a close friend insists. “I don’t think they’ve filed yet, though. Jaime thinks she married too fast; He seemed like a good guy but he’s full of himself and puts her down for everything.”
In 2007, Jaime won an Emmy as the ‘Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series’ for her work as Joy Turner on ‘My Name is Earl.’ Since then she’s appeared on ‘Rules of Engagement,’ but her next starring role is in court on February 7th.
Given this evidence, who wants to be famous? And what do you think of this behavior from someone who is?….
