Jesse James and Kat Von D announce engagement: wedding might be next month

[HMG Celebrity News] – After one of the most incomprehensible romances in recent Hollywood history it seems Sandra Bullock’s ex, Jesse James has either discovered his soul-mate, or lost his mind – He’s planning to marry Kat Von D.

The odd couple have been dating since August last year, after 41-year old Jesse’s five-year marriage to Sandra collapsed. And Jesse seems really in love;

“Sometimes the public and press gets it wrong. This is one of those times,” he tells People, describing his 28-year old fiancée as ”An amazing woman who stood behind me when the world turned their backs,”

You might need a bag at this point, because he’s not done…

“I have never met anyone so kind and loving and committed to making the world a better place,” gushes the biker. “My love for her is beyond description. So honored she said ‘yes.’ Growing old with her is going to be a f—-n’ blast!”

And it would seem Kat feels the same;

“There is no one else for me. He’s the one,” she tells the scribes.

After the divorce Jesse bought a new home in Dripping Springs, Texas – a tiny town of less than 1,800 people located 21-miles west of Austin. That’s where he now lives for most of the year, so does Kat plan to move?

“If only it were that easy,” she mused. “Having two places will be good for now. In the end, home is where the heart is, and my heart’s with him.”

The new duo have even engaged in some rather syrupy tweeting – On January 13, Jesse wrote this;

“They say true love will always shine through,” he told 9,000+ fans. “The only reason I started Twitter again? So I could publicly profess my love for @thekatvond.”

And Kat soon responded;

“Thank you always supporting me and believing in everything I do,” reads the tweet shared with 379,000 close friends. “But most of all, thanks for being my best friend.”

With public emotion like that, this could be either the greatest celebrity romance this year…or the most high-profile train-wreck in history. What’s your vote?…

Update: According to a Radar source, Jesse and Kat have already started planning their wedding, which will be small and happen outside of California, within the next month.
