‘Dancing With the Stars’ tried to get Heidi Montag as contestant on show

(HMG Celebrity News) – ‘Dancing With the Stars’ reportedly came a calling for Heidi Montag, as a contestant, but she had to turn down the offer due to a contractual agreement she signed when working on ‘The Hills.’  It all started when Montag was first pitched by her agent to take over the hosting from Samantha Harris, before Brooke Burke took the job in 2008.

According to RadarOnline, afterward the 24-year-old reality star was offered a spot on the hit ABC dance show, and she wanted to participate but couldn’t.

“She was devastated; she had even started training on the side,” said a source close to Montag.

Montag ended up instead joining Spencer Pratt on NBC’s jungle reality TV show, I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!  That didn’t work out well.  And now after so many surgeries, it’s believed that Montag would be reluctant to risk subjecting her now frail plastic filled body with the rigors of daily dance training.
