Taylor Swift ‘crushed’ by Jake Gyllenhaal’s sudden cold feet

[HMG Celebrity News] – When Jake Gyllenhaal and Taylor Swift began dating last October both the fans and the less fabulous blogs were ecstatic. But Jake pulled the plug on the romance over New Year’s, and friends say Taylor was crushed.

“It was a 180-degree turn and so out of the blue,” a source close to Swift tells Us about Jake’s decision. And another insider seems to agree;

“Jake told her it wasn’t working out,” the snitch tells the reporters. “Taylor is really upset. She doesn’t know what she did for him to stop it and she feels really burned.”

The whole romance was in fact Jake’s idea – He’s said to have been captivated by Taylor when they met late last year, so he got his handlers to set up a date. On their first weekend together the pair went apple picking in upstate New York, then rounded the day at a taping of ‘Saturday Night Live’ in Manhattan.

“Jake started this whole thing, then he just stopped responding to her,” another source shares.

And there’s more bad news for Taylor – While her new album ‘Speak Now’ is #1 on the Billboard charts, that’s not the cause for celebration it previously was: Last week was the worst in history for music sales and she’s sold just 52,000 copies.
