‘Millionaire Matchmaker’s Patti Stanger skewered by show’s participants

[HMG Celebrity News] – Tuesday saw the last chapter of this season’s ‘Millionaire Matchmaker’ and those whom it left in its wake have been eager to share how the show and its host, Patti Stanger had ruined their lives.

Former stars of season four watched the finale together and told the Post that 49-year old Patti’s comments and editing choices had caused sizable damage in both their professional and romantic lives.

“It’s the busiest time of the year for divorces and I haven’t had any calls,” says Doug Kepanis, who is described as ‘a divorce attorney with an ugly bod’ on the show’s site. “I have a lot of female clients – it may have turned them away.”

Doug’s fellow contestant Jason Teich, whom the site pegs as a ‘tough-talking, heavy drinking guy from Brooklyn,’ also has a grudge against Patti; “The producers fed me drinks, then Patti yelled at me for being an alcoholic,” he moaned.

Another survivor, David Vroubel was labeled as ‘creepy’ by Stanger – Eight times. Then he says she cut the show together so he’d also look socially awkward.

“She said she had a one-in-five success rate,” he recalls. “She can’t even get married herself.”

He’s right – Patti had been dating an uber-rich real-estate maven called Andy Friedman since 2003. Last May he proposed. Then in August, after devoting hours of season three to her own wedding plans she broke it off…And blamed him.

“I just ended my relationship with Andy,” she shared via Twitter. ”It hit me that I want kids in my life,”

But Patti’s abrasive attitude could bring her reign to an end; Insiders say season five will be her last – the Bravo bosses can’t cope with the endless demands and her tantrums.

“She thinks they aren’t giving her the respect she deserves,” one snitch shares. “Now she says she’s shopping her show to other networks.”

But Bravo owns the show, and the source says the network’s so tired of her attitude they plan to cast a new host. A rep for the network says production on season five will start soon, but “it’s too early to say anything about Season 6.”
