(HMG Movie News) – MGM is announcing that “BOND 23″ is set to go into production in late 2011, with Daniel Craig returning as the legendary British secret agent, while Sam Mendes will be directing a screenplay written by Neal Purvis, Robert Wade and John Logan. In April, the film had been suspended indefinitely because of MGM’s filing for bankruptcy protection. With their recent restructuring (MGM made a deal with Spyglass Entertainment), the movie became good to go. Since the film was put on hold Craig (who may be dating Rachel Weisz) has been busy with other films – Cowboys and Aliens, and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Dame Judi Dench will reprise her role as M. No word yet on the next Bond girl or Bond villain. Bond 23 will be part of year-long celebrations of the 50th anniversary of Dr No.  According to Deadline, the still-untitled film will be released worldwide on November 9, 2012.
