Shakira is single again after splitting from longtime boyfriend

(HMG Celebrity News) – Singer Shakira and her boyfriend of nearly 11 years, Antonio de la Rua, announced they split up back in August.  In a joint statement, they called their relationship “the most wonderful years of our lives,” but said they had come to a “mutual decision” to split romantically after a few months of separation. The two continue to be partners in business and their professional lives. De la Rua is the son of former Argentine President Fernando de la Rua, and he has acted as her agent. In 2009, Shakira, in an interview, had expressed her desire to have children with boyfriend De La Rua. Shakira has also posted a statement about the split on her blog, here.
