Andy Dick ejected from AVN Awards for harassment

[HMG Celebrity News] – Fame is fickle and once it moves on, those it has touched often act-out to regain attention. A case in point is Andy Dick, who was ejected from the AVN Awards last weekend for harassing a drag queen.

Best known for his four-year run on NBC’s ‘News Radio,’ which ended in 1999, Andy attended the AVN’s [the Oscars of the adult video world] at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas on Saturday and soon showed up backstage. With a beer.

Once there the 45-year old comic encountered adult actress Tera Patrick and drag queen Chi Chi LaRue, who were getting ready to take part in the show. And it seems Andy was keen to make friends;

“You couldn’t understand what he was saying, but you could hear Chi Chi saying, ‘Leave me alone!’” a witness tells the Post. “Tera grabbed Chi Chi and went into another dressing room – but there he was again! And this happened three or four more times.”

And the beer seems to have played a big part;

“He had a cup of beer, which he kept spilling,” says the informant. “Finally, this huge security guy came over, snatched the beer out of his hand and said, ‘That’s it, we’re going!’”

The guard got some help and let Andy rest against a wall to recover, and another eyewitness takes over the story;

“I questioned one of the guards and he said Andy was being disorderly and pushing people,” they report.

A rep for Dick had no comment, and that’s not surprising – this is not the first time Andy’s been unwell; On May 15, 1999 – just after ‘News Radio’ ended – he was charged with drug possession and DUI after wrapping his car around a utility pole in West Hollywood. In July of 2008 he was also arrested in Murrieta, California for drug possession.

On ‘Sober House’ with Dr. Drew back in 2009, Andy admitted his drinking had caused many of the incidents for which he’d become known.

But the story of this latest one doesn’t even end there – Andy somehow reentered the Casino and was seen in the men’s room at the Ghostbar at around 2am – throwing up all over the stalls.
