Eva Longoria’s brasserie ‘Beso’ goes bust

[HMG Celebrity News] – It would seem life for ‘Desperate Housewives’ star, Eva Longoria is getting slightly more desperate – Already tangled in a divorce from her husband, San Antonio Spurs’ Tony Parker, her restaurant ‘Beso’ is also in bankruptcy.

Based in Las Vegas, Beso opened in a PR feeding frenzy just two years ago but E says it’s now filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection so the bosses can restructure $5.7-million in debt – which could be tricky as they only have $2.5-million in assets.

Court documents prove the eatery and its adjacent nightclub ‘Eve’ had grossed $14.6 million in the last year alone. But their net losses were over $76,000 a month, and they owe the landlords ‘Crystals’ $1.8 million.

35-year old Eva’s own company also owes several contractors for construction work on the diner, and she’s in arrears to ex-partners who helped finance the construction. Some of these investors have since sued Beso LLC, and that’s caused the problems.

So what happens in Vegas goes bankrupt in Vegas.

And Eva’s in a tricky position – The court papers show she owns 32-percent of the business. But she’s also an investor, having given Beso LLC a $1-million loan. So the bankruptcy order designed to shield the firm from their creditors also protects it from her.

As you might expect, reps for both Eva and the restaurant have gone strangely silent, but you can bet there’s a mole in there somewhere who’s just dying to spill all the secrets. We’ll update you when they break their silence.
