Sheriff urges DA to charge Lindsay Lohan over Betty Ford fight
[HMG Celebrity News] – Less than 24-hours after Lindsay Lohan was released from the Betty Ford center it seems the actress may have fallen foul of the law; The LA Sheriff’s department are considering charges for an alleged assault during her stay.
As we reported before, the 24-year old actress allegedly left the center without permission on December 12, and was caught red-handed [haired?] by Dawn Holland, a nurse at the clinic, when she returned.
Holland then dialed 911 and it was claimed Lohan ripped the phone from her hand, damaging Dawn’s wrist.
Video of the incident apparently exists and Sheriff’s investigators who have studied it are expected to pass the case to the Riverside County DA this week, with a recommendation that Lohan face prosecution on charges of battery.
A Judge has also said Lohan would be jailed if she violated probation. This outing constitutes violation.
Meantime, even Lohan’s release is in question – Some sources report that she left Betty Ford early Monday and is now at home in LA. Others claim Lindsay was still taking sobriety classes and would not leave until sometime today. Her Twitter account has been silent and even her lawyer would not return calls.
Her father, Michael has made no effort to comment, and calls to the clinic were also unfruitful; Staff there refused to confirm her location, saying the center ‘does not comment on its patients.’
Lindsay entered the clinic for her third try at rehab last September, following a Judge’s ruling on her drunk-driving case from 2007. He ordered Lohan to remain at the rehab center until Monday, which she mostly did.
In summary it seems she once more gave in to an entitlement-fueled impulse, then got caught and tried to avoid all the fallout. This cost her all the goodwill from people who really thought she’d get clean, and whatever story she brings to excuse her behavior on December 12th, no-one will buy it.
“Today is the first day of the rest of my life,” she tweeted on New Year’s Day. ‘”The future depends on what we do in the present.”
So what do you guys think she should do now?…
