Arrested Teen Mom star Amber Portwood banned from seeing her child

[HMG Celebrity News] – As you’ll recall, ‘Teen Mom’ star Amber Portwood was in court at Thanksgiving to face charges that she assaulted her boyfriend. Gary Shirley while filming the show. That hearing went badly, and the 20-year old mom has now been arrested.

Amber was facing two felony counts and a misdemeanor for allegedly hitting Gary in three separate incidents between August 2009 and July of this year – all of which were caught on tape by the crew.

Police in her home town of Anderson, Indiana then investigated the assault and filed charges. Prosecutors had no choice but to proceed and she was arrested on Monday.

Amber was also served with a ‘No contact’ order, banning her from seeing her 2-year old daughter, Leah, who now lives with Gary. He has primary care and Amber’s not taking it well;

“She’s scared. But she knew Leah was going to be taken care of,” a source told Radar. “And Gary’s very upset because he didn’t want anything to happen to Amber. He only wants his family back.”

Now cooling her heels in the local county jail, friends say Amber is keen to move on and undo the harm.

“Amber wants to put this behind her and move on with her life,” says the snitch. “She’s hoping there’ll be no more jail time. She’s just trying to get it all together for Leah’s sake.”

There’s no word on what’s next on Amber’s schedule but allegedly she is prepared to tell that court that MTV paid her to hit her former flame on TV.  Meantime, what’s your take on this – Should Amber be released, and what about Leah? Let’s hear your views….
