After tough year Lily Allen gets engaged

[HMG Celebrity News] – British singer Lily Allen and boyfriend Sam Cooper are now engaged.   Sam  proposed on bended knee on Christmas Day on the balcony of their suite while they vacationed in Bali.

A source tells The Daily Mail the happy couple headed to the hotel bar to share their joy with patrons and drink champagne.

It’s great news for Lily who has been through a very tough year when for the second time in less than three years she suffered a miscarriage.  Five days after announcing that she had suffered a late term miscarriage (6 months pregnant), Allen was hospitalized with a case of blood poisoning known as septicemia.

In December 2007 the now 25-year old Allen announced that she and ‘The Chemical Brothers’ Ed Simons were expecting a boy. A month later she miscarried. Last August her new partner, Sam Cooper (photo right with Lily) was named as the dad when Lily announced she was pregnant again.
