Alanis Morissette and Dierks Bentley announce baby joy

[HMG Celebrity News] – While some of you may have gained a new iPhone or a Kindle over Christmas, Canadian crooner Alanis Morissette went one better – she got a new son.

“Alanis Morissette and Mario ‘Souleye’ Treadway welcomed a baby boy, Ever Imre Morissette-Treadway on December 25th,” Alanis’ rep told People. “All are healthy and happy.”

Alanis, 36, and 30-year old Mario were married on May 22nd at her home in LA, and on August 11th it was revealed that Ever was already in production. A baby shower in October saw Alanis sporting a noticeable bump, but she’s kept a low public profile since then.

When the pregnancy was announced she also told reporters it was quite a surprise, but a happy one.

And this ‘Miracle on the 36th Week’ was not confined to Alanis and Mario – Country singer Dierks Bentley and his wife Cassidy also welcomed a new baby on Christmas Day. A daughter they’ve chosen to call Jordan Catherine.

Jordan now joins 2-year old sister, Evalyn Day, and the new double daddy was thrilled:

“Say what you want about Santa’s physique, but no arguing his impeccable timing!” Dierks told 81,000 close friends via Twitter on Christmas Day. “Evie wanted a little sis for Xmas & Jordan just arrived!”
