Latest stunt proves Lindsay Lohan a self entitled lost cause?
(HMG Celebrity News) – I was just reading through the statement (via TMZ), by the Betty Ford staffer who claims Lindsay Lohan assaulted her. I know there are two sides to every story, and Lohan supposedly claims the staffer had it out for her and was actually the one who got aggressive. But frankly I believe the staffer. I mean how many times do we give Lindsay the benefit of the doubt? She obviously lied over-and-over about not being a drug user over the last couple of years when evidence pointed otherwise. Now we have her proclaiming her innocence again, but first we have to ignore the fact that this whole incident was precipitated by the fact she slipped out of her half-way rehab apartment with two other girls who admit they were drinking. Okay so the other girls were drinking and Lindsay wasn’t? The Betty Ford staffer says she smelled alcohol on Lindsay’s breath too! Funny how the statement gives me the impression that Lindsay was the ring leader and was urging the other girls to keep quiet about what had happened. The statement also said Lindsay was on the phone with mom Dina when the staffer came in. Dina allegedly lived up to her reputation once again as an enabler by telling her daughter she didn’t have to submit to a breathalyzer test. Actually it was probably smart advice, but it’s the sense of entitlement the Lohan’s seem to have that irks me. I really don’t understand why the Betty Ford Clinic didn’t demand Lindsay either take the breathalyzer test or leave. I really had hoped this time around that maybe Lindsay finally got it and might be ready to turn her life around. I have pretty much given up on that idea. I think there is a pretty good chance this incident will blow over without any major repercussions for Lindsay, for now. But she is apparently still a ticking time bomb and likely will find trouble again.
Update: The female staffer Dawn Holland who spoke to TMZ, was fired by the Betty Ford Clinic for speaking out on the incident, which apparently violates their confidentiality policies. Holland also admitted to RadarOnline that TMZ paid her at least $10,000 for an interview and photos of injuries. But by making the financial agreement while she was still a healthcare worker, Holland and TMZ are perhaps in violation of federal HIPAA laws, which subjects them to criminal prosecution.
