Tracy Morgan Undergoes Kidney Transplant

(HMG Celebrity News) – Stunned to hear that comedian and 30 Rock star, Tracy Morgan has undergone a kidney transplant.  What I didn’t know was that Tracy was diagnosed with diabetes in 1996. While there is no report yet whether the diabetes led to kidney disease, diabetes is the most common cause of kidney failure, accounting for nearly 44 percent of new cases. Morgan’s successful transplant occurred around Dec. 10, and is already up and about. EW.com says he was seen at a Knicks game on Friday (photo right),  but he will still miss at least two or three 30 Rock episodes due to air in March, as he recovers. Morgan, is the second “30 Rock” cast member to have a kidney transplant. Costar Grizz Chapman also underwent surgery earlier this year.
