Survivor: Nicaragua Winner Chosen – New Season Will Have Format Change
(HMG Celebrity News) – The 22nd season, started by dividing the 20 contestants by age, which really didn’t work out that well. In the end, five were left standing: Fabio, Dan, Sash, Chase and Holly for last nights final. Chase and Sash may have played the best game, but 21-year-old not so dumb blond Judson “Fabio” Birza became the youngest winner in the history of Survivor! In the end it came down to a 5-4 vote, with Jud/Fabio edging Chase. The highly likable Fabio had to win three straight immunity competitions to get to the end, and that is exactly what he did. ‘Fan Favorite’ Jane Bright picked up $100,000, winning with the most votes ever and by the largest margin ever. Sunday’s finale reunion, revealed that the forthcoming show’s season, Survivor: Redemption Island, will start Feb. 16, with a “massive format change.” In a newly conceived format, Survivor will send each of its voted-off castaways to a new Redemption Island. There, each will live alone surviving on their own until the next player is eliminated three days later. The two discarded survivors will face off in one-on-one challenges, followed by another eviction ceremony: The loser is banished from the show permanently, while the winner remains alone in exile to face the next eliminated contestant. The last one standing will return to the main game toward the end of the season.
