David Arquette Admits He’s a Total Mess Right Now

(HMG Celebrity News) – I would like to admire David Arquette’s candor as I think that’s just the way he is, but he’d probably be doing himself a favor to just keep some things to himself.  On his first visit right after his split from Courteney Cox became public, Arquette told Howard Stern, he has not had sex with Courtney in five months, and has in the meantime bedded waitress Jasmine Waltz twice.  On his second visit, Arquette told Howard he got “weepy” the first time he slept with another woman — two days after the split. Dave also said the sex ‘wasn’t as special’ because it lacked “that emotional love I always had with Court.”

Back again for a third on-air hour long chat with Stern on his radio show Wednesday, Arquette, 39, seems to be coming apart at the seams now.

Of his split from Cox, 46, Arquette said, “This is the hardest thing anyone has to go through … You wake up and the reality hits you.”

He added: “[Courteney] said she doesn’t want to be my mother. I kind of need a mother right now. I need a girl to come bring me some soup and make sure I’m all right. I like that, and I take care of my ladies, too.”

Arquette and Cox  have tried to keep their split amiable for the sake of their daughter Coco, 6.  But Dave tells Howard he wants more kids — and he sorta wishes the mom could be his ex girlfriend Drew Barrymore. “I know she is with Justin Long and everything, but how cool would an Arquette-Barrymore child be?” he said. “From a pure breeding standpoint.”

By this time Howard inquires. “Are you having a nervous breakdown?” “I believe so,” a raspy-voiced Arquette replied.

Arquette, said that his psychologist, whom he sees once a week, believes he’s having a “nervous breakdown.”

“I’ve been drinking a lot,” said Arquette. “[But I don't] want to go into all that, because it’s really a personal, traumatic thing.”

Of course then he admitted that at a recent holiday party hosted by Adam Sandler, he drunkenly called Tom Cruise “Sean.” “I was a little wasted,” Arquette says. “Someone says ‘Hi David!’, and I said, ‘Hi Sean! Then I realized it was Tom Cruise. And his beautiful wife [Katie Holmes] was there.”

Cruise wasn’t offended, Arquette said. “Tom was cool about it…I was so embarrassed. I was like ‘I gotta get the f*** out of here.’”

Why the heavy drinking? “I’ve been drinking a lot because I’m heartbroken,” he said. “It’s really a personal, traumatic thing.”

But he added that he had a “semi religious” epiphany recently: “When I drink, I become a maniac.”
