[HMG Celebrity News] – It used to be that big events in the life of a star would be tastefully shared with the press. Now most celebs take the route chosen by Eva Amurri and scream them from the rooftops, via Twitter.

In just one week the 25-year old New Yorker, who has the fortune to be the daughter of Susan Sarandon, did a lingerie shoot for Maxim, some voice work for Disney’s ‘Fish Hook’s and got herself a new man. And she was visibly psyched;

“What a week: I became a cartoon character, did a Maxim shoot, and got engaged! LOL!” she tweeted on Saturday. “Not bad, not bad. Thanks for all the congrats!”

The new BFF [seen here] is Kyle Martino, a 29-year old professional soccer player who also works as a commentator on the Fox Soccer Channel. He hails from Connecticut, but the pair now share a home in California.

And as Eva’s last time on TV was a small role in ‘Californication’ back in 2009, her under-worked rep was eager to praise the engagement;

“They just got engaged and both couldn’t be happier.” he told People, with career-denting restraint.

Your next chance to see Eva at  work is the movie ‘AmeriQua,’ which she’s currently filming with Alec Baldwin. There’s no release date as yet, but we’ll keep you advised if that or her new relationship changes…
