Laura Dern and Ben Harper planning marriage reboot

[HMG Celebrity News] – We reported back in October that Laura Dern had been served with a suit for divorce by her husband, Ben Harper. But now it seems the pair are now trying to keep their union together.

“It looks like they’re trying to work this out,” a source told Radar. “Ben’s been coming to the house, and the signs are that he really wants to reconcile.”

Laura and Eddie were married on December 23 of 2005 after a five-year romance, and they now have two children; Nine-year old Ellery and his sister Jaya, who’s six. So a divorce could ruin several lives.

And Ben’s plan to split stunned their friends, as it came only three weeks after the whole family attended the wedding of Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder and model Jill McCormick in Honolulu – where the pair seemed very happy.

“Ben filed for divorce without any notice,” the source shares. “The filing came as a complete surprise to Laura.”

In the court papers Ben asks for joint custody of their children, and also asks the Judge not to award Laura any spousal support.

The newly recycled pair were last seen in public at Brentwood’s Country Mart, along with their children. Witnesses say they seemed closer already, but Ben wants to take the repair of their marriage even further.

“He’s asked Laura to come to Paris to visit him while he was touring with ‘Fist Full Of Mercy’” we’re reliably told.
