Nicole Richie to marry Joel Madden this weekend

[HMG Celebrity News] – After weeks of speculation it’s been confirmed that Nicole Richie and her boyfriend Joel Madden are planning to get married this weekend. And Paris Hilton is way less than pleased.

After four loving years and two children together 29-year old Nicole and Joel, 31, are reportedly keen to avoid the typical star-sprinkled Hollywood bash. Spies say they’ve opted instead for a more intimate ceremony;

“The wedding will be true to Nicole’s style,” a source told Radar. “She’s going for a vintage and romantic vibe.”

While the petite actress was at the gym yesterday several large trucks were seen at the $12-million mansion of her father, Lionel Richie, which sits on the edge of Beverly Hills golf course. There they unloaded tables, chairs, staging, flooring and even some tent poles.

A dance floor is now being constructed over the pool and workers spent all day at the house. The future bride and groom were not on the scene, but the action was watched by a security guard and an officer from the Beverly Hills PD.

The pair have now invited 75 guests, including family and close friends, which are said to include Christina Aguilera and Lindsay Lohan’s ex-friend, Samantha Ronson. And Nicole’s best friend, Masha Gordon will be ‘Maid of Honor.’

But some predictable people – like Ms. Hilton – are not on the list.

“Nicole cut down the guest list because she didn’t want a huge wedding.” the source dishes. “She didn’t invite a bunch of her celeb friends, and this apparently upset a bunch of people.”

I bet it did. One can easily picture poor little Paris, with her expensively-honed nose being well out of joint over this.
