Danny Bonaduce gets surprise marriage in Maui
[HMG Celebrity News] – It is the nature of celebrities to plan a wedding for months, in the full glare of the press. But Danny Bonaduce just had a wedding that was kept as a total surprise. Even to him.
For three years the 51-year old actor has been dating Amy Railsback, a 28-year old former substitute teacher from Sacramento who now serves as his agent. Dan had often told her he’d love to be married, and even had the ring ready. But she had to take care of the details.
Then last month Dan got a call.
“The wedding planner called to speak to Amy and told me I was getting married!” Danny tells People. “I said, ‘Honey, you got something to tell me?’ Then I thought, and said, ‘This is a great idea!’”
They got officially hitched on November 22nd in a private, sunset ceremony at Maui’s gloriously scenic ‘Plumeria Point,’ with just the coordinator and minister to witness the bond. Amy wore an off-white crochet dress, while Dan sported cream-colored slacks, a white shirt and a lei.
“I was going to tell him. It was an unintentional surprise,” says Amy, who admits she chose Plumeria because the backdrop was just ocean and islands.
Amy now wears a $400 sterling-silver diamond-encrusted ring, with a ‘Skull and Crossbones’ design.
“It’s our insignia,” Dan explains, “And I have a similar one.”
In a wise move that may ensure Dan’s future parent potential Amy also received a Scott Kay 1¼ carat white gold ring.
“Danny realized I might not want to wear a skull and crossbones every day,” she says with a smirk.
Once the rings were exchanged the newlyweds walked on the beach, then shared an intimate dinner of marinated tuna, and sashimi, followed by a Spam California roll that was sent over by the Philadelphia Phillies’ Shane Victorino who was staying at their hotel.
In another departure from most celebs’ wedding there’s no mention of an impending baby. But it’s early yet.
We’ll let you know if and when that’s announced…
