Demi Lovato sued by dancer for alleged attack
[HMG Celebrity News] – In her short and undeserved bout with fame Demi Lovato has had problems. But her alleged attack on backup dancer Alex Welch may seal her fate. If it’s true.
Welch, a back-up dancer on the Jonas Brothers’ recent world tour for which Lovato was the opening act claims the Disney starlet was upset because their bosses found out Demi was partying too much, and she supposedly blamed Alex.
So Demi allegedly hit her.
“To this day, I haven’t had an apology. I’ve heard nothing,” Welch tells the News. “That’s sad if you think that person is your friend.”
Welch claims Demi “pulled the dancers in a room and said, ‘If I find out who told on me …’” But Alex was unconcerned as she had not been to all the parties, nor did she tell the tour’s leaders that Demi had.
Then Demi apparently pounced.
“We were on the plane with the Jonas boys, and I didn’t get a call or text from Demi or a ‘Hey, you got a problem with me?’ Nothing,” Welch says. “And she walks up and punched me, then literally walked away and got in her seat.”
A rep for Lovato claims the 18-year old “hasn’t been able to call Alex because she’s in treatment, but efforts have been made to reach her.”
But Alex has now hired a lawyer. “No one should do that and brush it over. It’s not right,” she whined.
And the lawyer should win an award;
“We will be filing a lawsuit next week,” says Donald Karpel. “We will be seeking punitive damages for assault, battery and mental distress.”
Lovato’s reps are now in touch with Don and are working on how to make this sad stunt case disappear;
“We’re in the process of engaging with Alex’s lawyer to resolve this as quickly as possible,” says their statement. “Demi feels awful about what happened. Right now she’s committed to treatment.”
Doctors who examined the 21-year old’s alleged injuries say she has minor swelling and bruises, but no permanent damage. But that hasn’t stopped Alex. She now claims she’s “consulting a Beverly Hills ears, nose and throat plastic surgeon.”
I say this entire case is fake drama, dreamed up by two vapid nonentities to get cash and attention. What’s your review?…
