Lindsay Lohan Replaced by Malin Akerman for Linda Lovelace biopic (Update)

(HMG Celebrity News) – I kind of thought it was a bad move when she agreed to do this movie and if not for ending up in rehab I am sure she would have.  It’s been reported today that Lindsay Lohan was fired from the planned Linda Lovelace biopic “Inferno.” Inferno director Matthew Wilder tells E! News:

“We have stuck by Lindsay very patiently for a long time with a lot of love and support,” Wilding says. “Ultimately, the impossibility of insuring her—and some other issues—have made it impossible for us to go forward.”

However sources who have spoken to Lindsay within the last hour tell TMZ, Lindsay decided to drop out from the film because it no longer felt right, and it gives her more time to focus on her recovery.

Whether Lindsay was fired or decided not to do it, if she can really get her head together there will be much better opportunities for Lindsay in the future.  Perhaps that is a big if, but she does seem to be taking her rehab seriously this time.  The proof of the pudding to me will be whether she starts frequenting bars and parties again when she’s out of rehab.

Redhot Malin Akerman (Couples Retreat, Watchmen, 27 Dresses) is now confirmed to replace Lindsay Lohan in Inferno.
