Eva Longoria played Tony Parker divorce for PR

[HMG Celebrity News] – If you thought the divorce between Tony Parker and Eve Longoria was being played for the press, it seems you’re dead right – Eva didn’t just want a divorce, she wanted Tony shamed in the media for his textual affair.

We’ve reported on how the 35-year old actress was steamed when she found Tony had been swapping racy texts with Erin Barry, the estranged wife of San Antonio Spurs’ team-mate, Brent Barry. The Barry were friends, and that made it worse.

When Eva found Erin’s texts the marriage was doomed, and the pair agreed to divorce.

“But Eva was hurt and she wanted a little revenge,” a source told Radar. “So she blindsided Tony with the divorce filing. They were working out the details, but Eva dropped the papers on him to get a media blitz.”

Insiders say the texts were bland. But some ‘crossed the line,’ so one source has claimed. Erin’s marriage was already over, and both she and Tony insist texting was all they did.

“Any wife is going to be upset with what Tony did, but he swears they never had sex,” the source claims. “Tony also says the messages ended months ago.”

He and Eva then agreed to divorce. Tony planned to file in Texas to make the split easy, but Eva tricked him into waiting a while. She then not only filed, but timed it to coincide with her ‘Us Weekly’ interview.

“They were discussing how to proceed, then suddenly Eva not only filed the papers but went public with his relationship,” the source smirks. “She was really into the whole PR thing.”

Despite this malfeasant scheme the pair are still talking. But their marriage is toast;

“Ultimately, they hardly ever saw each other,” the source said. “It just wasn’t going to work.”

That’s the latest update on the breakup, but with Eva’s obvious love of PR don’t expect it to be the last.
