Butch Patrick aka Eddie Munster goes to rehab

(HMG Celebrity News) – In another case of a childhood star ending up in rehab, albeit many years later, Butch Patrick, who played Eddie on ‘The Munsters,’ checked into a New Jersey rehab facility.  Butch, 57, has a 40-year addiction to alcohol, cocaine and marijuana, TMZ reports, so he’s been at it since at least age 17. Patrick’s family has been reportedly asking him to seek treatment for thirty years. Patrick’s rep tells TMZ he hopes to “get a grip on his addiction and educate himself.”
Since the Munsters sitcom, Patrick appeared on other TV shows during the 1960s, including Mister Ed, My Favorite Martian, Daniel Boone, I Dream of Jeannie, The Monkees, Gunsmoke, and Adam-12, and was featured in eight episodes of My Three Sons as the character Gordon Dearing.
