[HMG Celebrity News] – In what may be bad news or just proof of evolving careers, Disney has announced the Jonas Brothers’ tween-friendly series ‘Jonas LA’ has been canceled.

The news broke on November 6 via that favorite medium of the show’s ardent fans, Twitter. The director, Paul Hoen tweeted;

“Sadly no more Jonas L.A.”

He’s since deleted the message, but the suits at Disney have confirmed the show is over;

“The series has concluded as scheduled after two very successful seasons, and all original episodes of its second season have aired,” a Disney spokesman told EW. “The Jonas Brothers are currently wrapping up their tour and will soon be back in the studio. We look forward to working with them in the future.”

Since its debut in May of 2009 ‘Jonas LA’ scored an average of 3.7 million viewers, becoming one of the five most successful Disney shows aimed at the ‘Tween’ demographic (ages 9-14). So it’s not lack of ratings that sank them.

But is this the end for the brothers? They’ve filled concert halls and sold millions of albums, but their  voices are changing and so are their lives — Kevin’s now married, Nick did a solo album and appeared in ‘Les Misérables’ in London, and Joe has done acting work in shows like ‘Hot in Cleveland’ and ’90210. ‘

Past Disney stars like Shia LaBeouf and Hilary Duff have since grown their careers beyond the magic of Anaheim, so can the Jonas boys do the same?

If you’re a ‘Jonas L.A’ fan, will you miss it, or is it time for the trio to just grow up and move on?…
